Rep Power: 0 Jetchip ecu upgrade?
Hey, I saw the jetchip ecu in the parts section of this website. I was just wondering if anyone could explain exactly how this thing works. I would especially appreciate comments from someone who has already bought the jetchip, so I can know if it is worth my money. I currently have a CAI, headers, and a catback exhaust, so can someone please let me know how much the ecu should help my car.
Here are some links to the sites.

Thanks to anyone who helps me out.

Rep Power: 394 I don't think it's worth it, but if you want the mod now then go for it. I guess they can reprogram various things within the ECU based on your mods. If you do want to get it, then wait till you have all of your performance mods and then fill out their little questionaire with your type of mods on it. I guess they tune your ECU based on what you write them. maybe they even correct speedometer readout based on tire size? Anyway, that's the theory.

Rep Power: 0 hey man, I have heard alot of bad things about jet chips. Some friends of friends put those on their car and ended having to buy new ecu's. I have also heard of people having to replace various parts because jet F's up their fuel and ignition stuff. Just thought I would give a word of caution.
Peace.

Rep Power: 0 The performance chip thing has worked on other cars for years. Also the Hypertech programmer for those cars that can be programmed.
However, I have no experience with Jetchip on a Civic. The idea is good, but don't know about how well it works.
One thing it probably will do is raise or eliminate the rev limiter.

Rep Power: 0 just get a piggy-back computer, like a Fields or Apex-i Air Fuel Vtec Controller...then you can tune evrything yourself.
