04 tranny different from 01?

ok I got a 01 tranny. I want to do the tranny swap, but I want to know if the 04 trannnys have longer or shorter gears? Anyone here with an 01 that did the 04 tranny swap. OR is there anyone who knows the gear ratios from 01 and 04?

my 01 tranny has short gears already, like 4k rpms going 80, if its any shorter I dont think I will do it, do you, by any chance, know how much shorter exactly?

check Honda for gear ratio..

I dont think its shorter.

it could be better bulit though, I believe honda worked out some quriks.. because a few members have swapped tranny (abusing their previous ones, heh) and says it feels like they can hold up much more..

although, you should take into perspective that their previous comparison was a worn out or broken transmission... so yeah.

uhh, I meant how high each gear goes up to. Like 1st gear goes to 30mph will the 04 tranny be different. I dont mean the ratio, I already have a short shift adapter. I mean the length of speed wise on each gear.
