Blacking out headlights....

I have a pair of blacked headlights that I received. The black paint is flaking away slowly so I have to repaint them. I akready took apart the headlight and I removed the lens from the trim. Here is a pic of one of the lights....

You can probably see it starting to flake away at the bottom of the light. Is there anything I can use to remove the rest of the black paint like a chemical. I can't think of anything. I am going to try out the black Krylon fusion paint which bonds to plastic. I have heard some good things about it. I just need to remove the rest of the old paint. Any suggestions? I will post pics with the final results.

Get some paint thinner or lacquer...but don't poor that **** directly on there. Poor it on a cloth and start wiping the paint away... once all the paints gone, use dishsoap and water to remove any oils, grease, and the residue of paint thinner on the headlight.

Let the lights COMPLETLY dry....then repaint...

I am using that new krylon fusion paint which I guess bonds to plastic. It says there is no preping for this paint. Does anyone have experience with this stuff and it is actually necessary to prime and sand?

I was told by another member on here to use Varsol? It would take the paint off but leave that "chrome finish" on the lights. I still havent tried it myself tho.
