Window Tinting??
Ok, in maryland, the legal tint % is 35, my car is black so will it appear darker to the eye because i want the windows to be dark, but dont wanna b caught, is it safe to go ahead with 30 or 25, or does 35 look darker on my color car then a lets say red car?
thanks
thanks

. Planning on removing the rest and getting 30% on the rear and top windshield. The rear being 30% just incase I have to register my car here in CO, the top windshield being 30% since trying to read overhead signs at night with 20% isn't fun.Visually, you can tell the difference between 20% and 35% easily.

one thing I've noticed is that the front two windows will look lighter due to more light coming from an untinted front windshield. Nothing you can do about it tho.
I live in East Tennessee, and state laws regulate window tint at 35%. I went to American Radio, because they were the only place to offer a lifetime guarantee on 20%, while everyone else was only doing the guarantee with 35% or lighter. I have had my tint for about a month and I haven't had any problems. I guess it just depends if the cops in your area are ********* or not. Here in Sevier county, they are very friendly to citizens and they focus on the tourists. In Knox county, they give me a look sometimes, but they're all too lazy to write the ticket.

i think if u have a black car, the officer would judge different because the contrast of the paint is all black while the window tint is "shaded" black. if you live in a very heated area or want to keep your interior away from sunrays or lookers, i think 25% all around will do the job. 30% if u want to keep it on the safer side.
35% is nothing during daytime, but its perfect for night. 20% at day is perfect, but not good for night.
so i guess if your driving during day time mostly, 20%?
if you drive every night... 30% ?
