RUST???

I was wondering if my new 17" giovanni's will rust during the winter because of the snow and the salt....i live in WI! they are silver ,i just got them on and i do not want them to rust some fools were tellin me they would but i don't think they would....Your opinion will be greatly appreciated! by the way they look great they are kinda a copy of the konig tantrums but they were still around 1300 with the tires i got. thanx

Yep, it is best to just put on steel rims with snow tires for the winter. aluminum and chrome rims will start to get pits and rust from the salt they use on the roads. You will be more happy with them in the summer when they look good. If you don't have the steel rims its worth the $$$.

yeah man i live in miltown i just put snow tires on my stock rims and use my 17s during spring summer and fall.

I thought aluminum and chrome are impervious to salt. Guess I'm wrong, but steel definately will. No problems with that here in Sunny So.Cal.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]
