HID on projectors
HID on projectors
i have a 02 civc with tyc projectors..anyway my friend can hook me up with brightstar hid 6500k h1 for 300cad. Has anyone tried putting hid on to thier projectors? he said he just has to make the hole bigger in order for the hid to fit. Does it melt the housing ?
thanks in advance.

You can place the H1 kit into the TYCs but, you may have to enlarge the bulb opening in the back. That can be done by either using a file or drill.
The housing shouldnt melt... TYCs are high quality headlamps.

HID's run cooler, draw less current, and are brighter then a standard halogen bulb.
So... No these will not melt your housing.
