Looking Comfortable Seats

So I am in the market for some new seats. I am looking seats that's comfortable that's good for making frequent small trips (~2hr). I am thinking of either Si seats, RSX Leather, or some aftermarket. If you recommand aftermarket, name the brand and model. A reason for recommandation would be good too.

TIA

I would not get the leather. Too many people complain that they rip and get messed up. I've sat in Si seats and they're nice, but a little stiff. The rsx cloth is kinda similar, but at least they look nicer. Getting new seats doesn't mean that they'll be more comfortable per say, but that you will be supported better in the seat (which means no more back aches like stock).

yea... after reading a bunch of posts, i don't really want leather, just 'cause i am too lazy to take care of it.
anyone know the difference between real racing seats and the replica racing seats? 'cause they look almost the same without costing you an arm or leg...
i just wanna know if they are worth it, and difference between them and the replicas.

Thank

I have the rsx leather seats, and I love them... You only have to take care of them like 2x's a month... Not that hard to do.

All cloth seats will fade, some more than others. If you get cheap apc seats, obviously the stitching is gonna rip apart fast. You're just gonna have to be careful with the leather if you want those. I've even heard ripping problems with the tenzo r seats.

dude my *** hurts after every trip! I have an ex coupe and the thing is I got extreme pressure plate clutch and I have to put some kinda pressure to hold that thing steady for smooth engagement or it will jerk the whole car... but for some reason with out me knowing that i'm seating sideways A.K.A. sitting on ONE butt cheek so after every trip my right *** hurts!

anyway... try the SI bucket seats they're the cloth types... get the leather if the weather in your area doesn't go over 60 or else your *** be sweating like a ****!

My advice would be find dealers and sit in the Si and rsx to see how they feel. If you don't like em, maybe it's time to think about more expensive, aftermarket seats. Sparco, recaro, corbeau are all good. Unfortunately, you can't tell how they feel until you buy em. I'll let you know how the corbeau a4 is.

thx gearbox.. let me know after u got them from dezod...
there is an international auto show in my area soon, maybe i'll just go there to seat in the cars. last year i went, sparco was there. I wonder if they give me any discount if i ask them.

right now i am very paranoid about leather seats and stuff after reading on them, but they sooo nice when new, haha.

btw, can someone compare the Recaro SRD seats to the Sparco Torino seats? which is better and why.

Thanks guys

The higher priced sparcos own. Someone at our last meet had either torinos or milanos. But then you're gonna be paranoid again cause they cost way more than leather. Can you post pics of the srd?

the recaro srd cost about the same as the torino.... so i am not sure which one i should get, if i decide to go "high end" seats. any comments?

I wanted something that has a good resell value, that's why i looked at the oem seats first 'cause you all know how aftermarket stuff depreciates like crazy.

Well those look similar to the torinos, but very plain. So I guess it depends on what style looks better to you. The sparcos tend to be two toned for the most part. I would actually get the recaro over the torinos myself.
