custom exhaust pipe

well
im planning to change my stock exhaust pipe for a custom one(cus i dont have money for a catback) so... heres my question
what pipe is the best(in diameter) i have HP RACING headers, i think that 2.5" but a friend says me that is too big... im readin a lot of post, and some peeps say that 2" is the best, cus u get the 95% of the power that u loose whit stock one.... and another peeps say thats 2.25" is the best
so im a little confussed... what kind of pipe do ill get....
(note: im gettin a N2O kit)

i'd wait for a catback or custom piping from cat to muffler.

but if your gonna go on and watse the money anyways, i'd go with 2.25"

hope your not running the n20 kit with just the header and custom pipe..

don't do it if you have a stock muffler. But if you do it use 2.25" who told you 2"? cause I know not one person here would. And why would it matter about your exhuast if you have N20? It doesn't!

2.25" would be the best. You will gain power from mid to top end. With 2.5" pipe, you will have more top end gain but you might lose to mid. Oh yea, definitely get a mandrel bent.

If I were you I would go with 2" mandrel bent because our cars need some back pressure to perform at its optimium potential. 2.25 + is just a little to big.

2.25 isn't too bad.

Man you are pretty dim witted not knowing that I answered his question in an earlier post, and also the same for thinking that the search button is useless. It is there for a reason and that is to search to see if you can get your answers with out people asking them a billion times, now pull the bunched up panties out of your a$$ and stop crying!

That is a misconception that is wrong. "Backpressure" in an exhaust is not good. The trade off between exhaust velocity and flow is what confuses people about exhausts.
