r34 kit

I've noticed that the top of the upper grill on the front bumper of this kit looks like it's sagging a bit on the right side on quite a few of the pics of cars on this site that I've seen that had this kit installed. Anyone know why this is? Just a shitty install or what? I'm having a shop install mine and with a CF hood so hopefully there won't be this sagging gap.

check my ride out. The Bumper didn't line up quite right. I've been to depressed and lazy to attempt to fix it.

Ya, I noticed that too. I heard you have to support with something so it can stay up.

yea, it will sag if the kit is urethane. when it gets warm the urethane will become softer and will sag in spots that dont have support.

put some kind of reinforcement bar behind it to keep it stiff

I have support rods for my front bumper. kinda like what trucks used to have around the rear wheel.

I have the R34 Octane on my 2003 2 door. Its fiberglass and it seems to fit perfectly, i dunno about the urethane. The only noticeable gap is about a 1/8 inch right below the hood. If your going with fiberglass the R34 is a good kit to go with. With my halo projector headlights and 17" chrome konig prophets the R34 adds nice touch

can you use an aftermarket grill with the kit or no? now i mean without butchering the bumper, can you fit a grill in there?

urethane is also succeptable to cracking and breaking, just not as much as fiberglass. People act like its invincible or something. As long as you dont drive like a dumbass fiberglass is fine, and noticeably cheaper.

You fit the RS grill in it no problem or did you have to make it wider or anything? I thinking..could you have fit the stock grill piece back in if you wanted?

I think that the only car that should look like a r34 is a skyline r34 not a civic with a kit but thats just me. I wouldn't want to look like something I'm not.

no I didnt have any problems on installin the grill, just had to drill some holes to make it hold together. and yes, you can easily fit the stock grill on. I don really see many of my r34 kit installed in this site. I bought it over fatboygarage.com but I dont recommand buying there, service sucks and so as quality.
