How difficult to build something like this?

The ugliest thing about civics id the rear end view. The suspension links and stuff look nasty. Something along these lines would look good i think. Painted to match as well. What could be ready made? I know some cars like my Mustang has a plastic cover over the gas tank. Something along thse lines might be a good start. Might help with the aerodynamics too. Some custom sheet metal even flat with a slight tilt would work. Something to clean up the bottom. Theres plent of flat space to mount anything anywhere under there.

I like it the way it is but I have never seen it covered so I dont know if I would like it. If you find something, post it please. shouldnt be too hard to make. You would just need some sheet metal and a folder. If you did it in fiberglass, it would probably be lighter.

yup thats the fuel tank. mustangs and older cars have the fuel tanks to the rear so that their muffler can be in the middle of the car where our fuel tanks are. this allow them to put their mufflers in the middle of the chasis and have the straight pipes all the way to the back w/ the illusion that they do not have mufflers. this has changed, becuz of the concern of the car getting rearended and having the fuel tank that far back is dangerous.

If your car is low enough you can't see under there anyways, even when someone is in a lowered car behind you they can't see under there. It's much easier, so just slam it.
