muffler question
muffler question
yeah not lookin for power-increasing mods, just sound/looks
been looking into mufflers, and most people around my area have exhaust that are real deep and rumbley sounding at idle/low RPM, but when they start goin, the RPM's risin, the sound gets REALLLY BLATTY AND FARTY. is there any muffler that gives the low rumble at low rpms then kinda quiet off a bit and only amplify the stock muffler sound in the mid/high rpm?
ive listened to the sound clips and those arent what im lookin for.

ehh forget what i said up there, is there an aftermarket muffler that just makes the sound louder, BUT does not add the low rumble/high raspy tone or farty whatever?
basically, any mufflers that just is basically a stock muffler, only THAT stock sound is lounder?

if you just want a muffler anything will give a different sound over stock, might be rumble, and will have almost the same sound as stock at high rpms. Thats if you go with just a muffler on your stock piping. Don't know if you have done this yet or gotten flamed for it but you need to search there is at least one thread a day about mufflers.
Muffler, no. A muffler increases the air flow, but the sound echos in the walls of the muffler. Thats the sound you are talking about. If you want a nice deep sound without the rasps etc., you need a full cat-back or axal(sp)-back exhaust.
