Review: Rain-X Windshield Washer Wipers

I got these on a while ago and I have been using them for a while now. I guess I should write up a little review so that people know what to buy. I got them from Walmart for about $10 each. The stock Civic's size is 21 inches for the driver's side and 19 inch for the passenger's side. I bought 20 inch ones for the passenger side and 22 inch ones for the driver's side.

I did this to increase the wiped surface area and because the 20 inch wiper blade is of a better design that the 19 inch one. It has more of those bendable things to allow the wiper blade to follow the contours of the windshield.

Anyway, they work great. My old ones were starting to fall apart. They wipe nice and clean and for a total of $20 it was worth it. I can now see much better in rainy conditions at night. No more of that funky glare that comes off of the windshield.

Oh yeah, they also have these little holes cut out so that the aerodynamic lift is reduced at high speed. Eh, whatever.

Most likely, but I would just get the whole thing. No messing around and you get the base element which is better designed than the OEM one.

There you go! I'll buy them from there next time if I find a K-Mart near me. They're basically as good as the OEM ones, but a little bit better. Same with the metal base. They're very nice for the money.

JUST WANTED TO MAKE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT

DO NOT USE THE RAIN-X WASHER FLUID ADDITIVE, IT WILL STAIN THE PAINT!!

my dad used it on his old truck(red, easily seen) and it ate/stained the paint where the nozzles "dribbled" and it dried

the wipe on rain-x is a great product, and the wipers sound like they are too, just dont use the washer fluid additive

youve been warned!

Additive? You add it to regular windshield washer fluid? I use the Rain-X fluid. Is that the one you're talking about? It's light orange (like a peach).

yeah, it looks like Pepto-Bismol, it has a reservoir at the top of the bottle and it gives you the correct amount or something like that. the stuff in the Back bottle is ok though, that stuff you wipe on/off like wax.
