new exhaust bolts?

new exhaust bolts?

When i tried removing my exhaust header i stripped the bolts, and i wasnt able to install my dc ceramic coated header at the time, but i was thinking about trying again but i wanted to get new bolts in case is this them
seems a lot but is it worth it and what i need?

edit: sorry the link doesnt take you all the way there just click civic ex 2dr - exhaust- exhaust bolt , that should be it

if im correct, its not a bolt its a nut, now if somehow u stripped the threads on the bolt which i do believe comes out the block then ur really up a creek, now that its stripped u should worry about getting it off more than finding a replacement

on the top portion of the exhaust header i can get those but the bottom one to get the heat shield off i couldnt get off ive heard people applying heat and other maybe i just need to try a different wrench or extension, but i think im going to have it installed the same time i have my exhaust done, i just wasted sure if i should get new bolts for when it is off

I had the same problem with the one on the heat shield so just left it on. The heat shield is bolted to the header so it doesn't matter.

Read my hp header install DIY. I had a hell of a time getting the bottom bolt holding the heat shield to the header off. I had to take it to a shop and have them use a blow torch on it to help loosen it. Maybe something in my DIY will help.

yea ive read the diy and tried wd40 and so forth but nothing seemed to work, but i was just worried if i got it off that i wouldnt be able to put it back on, thats why i was curious if i should get new bolts? should i and are those them?

you shouldn't have to get new bolts if all you are having problems with is the bolt that holds the heat shield on. you won't need the shield if your putting on a dc header. put a little *** into it. hahaha j/p. good luck.

Dude I recommend taking it to a mechanic if you can't get that one off.

The heatshield does not work with aftermarket headers.

But you might want to save all the stuff in case you go back to stock to sell you car or whatever.
