Gauge pod for civic sedan? (UPDATE)

I don't think anyone really resolved this problem. I know autometer doesn't make pods or pillars that fit the sedan properly (there is a difference from coupe parts). I did find a page with OBX pods that separate into coupe and sedan listings. What do you guys think?

You're right, there IS a dual pod for the 01+ civic sedan on the OBX site!

Sweet. There's one for single pod as well. Thanks for the site info.

I am awaiting my Faze gauge order. There's also AC Autotechnic, which I really like as well. Oh, and Speedhut makes custom ones.

I was looking for something without an orange needle. I want something that won't stand out or look weird. I originally had a phantom gauge, but it was so white it made my indiglos look dirty. So I returned it a while back.

Also, I was hoping to paint the single pod to match the pillar. Don't know how it will turn out, though.

TELLY: What pillar/pod are you using?

Well, I already have a universal dual that I got for free, but i may just use that temporarily until I can get the OBX one and mold it into another pillar trim piece (I hope Honda doesn't rape my tender little *** when i buy it).

Yup, I actually had a voltmeter before, so it's all wired already. I just want to find the right one this time. I'm either buying that single OBX pod, or mounting it in the air vent. Probably the pillar (less work).

Cool. A voltmeter is a cool gauge that is actually useful.

I would put it on the pillar or maybe get one of those consoles that lets you put it next to the stock fuel or water temp gauges. Don't put it in the vent, because then your vent won't work right, and when it's freezing this winter or burning next summer you're going to want all your vents working.

I really need a voltmeter, too. Everytime I have more than two accessories on at a time and I'm stopped at a light, my indiglos flicker. This means they're not getting 12V. It's also bad for the audio stuff to get less power than needed.

Um, yes. 4 channel amp, sub amp, deck, and tweets.

I'm still deciding on a gauge that will match my interior. I don't think I'm getting white face or anything with an orange needle. I know, narrows it alot.

Ac,autometer, matrix, vdo. makes volt guage . There are other companies but i dont remember now.
Heres some pictures , volt gauge installed. I have autometer ultra lite series.

mounted on left side air vent.

Just an idea.
And you probably saw my guage install on my si.

EDIT- maybe digital volt meter might match with your interior..

Okay, I think I've decided on the ISSPRO gauge I posted above. I like how the numbers and needle light up white at night. Looks clean and simple. I just don't want something with crazy colors all over, and the white face ones are so white they make the indiglos look dull. Do you think it matches okay?

Oh and I'll be getting the OBX single pillar pod.

Those faze gauges look nice as well. And they have EL lighting. I just don't want that orange needle.

I put a 2 1/16 autometer boost gage in my ac vent similar to civicvtec1ps's picture above, but i mounted it lower in the vent, and drilled a bunch of holes above it so it still functions. I can email the pics to someone if they can post em for me. let me know?

If the gauge is mounted in the air vent, would there be any danger of the wires overheating or something in the winter when the heat is on and blowing through the vent?

Nope. You can just close that vent with the dial. I ordered the OBX pod, so we'll see how it fits. Still thinking about gauges, but I've got it narrowed down to ISSPRO most likely.
