Widebody Kit available soon?
in the new HCI magazine, i saw a widebody kit for our civics that is being developed by JT Autostyle. it looks pretty good from what i can tell thus far. it uses nsx inspired side vents a weird, but cool, looking z3 fender. it looks pretty good. just letting you all know, since i just saw it last night.

i can't scan the mag, cause i don't have a scanner. the mag's website ( www.hcimagazine.com ) doesn't have any pics of it on their site. if you can find this magazine (has widebody nsx on the cover), it starts on page 51. sorry i can't be of any help on this, i really have tried to find pics of it.(i'm about to try jtautostyle's site for one last place) and thanks for the props on the sig. why do you say i lost the better of the two though? she had bitch-like tendancies. sure her body was bangin, and we do still talk, but being in a relationship was hard on the nerves.

Did it look something like this?
*Edit* It won't let me link it directly. Click on link, click on honda, click on 2001 civic and up, and look for the blue wide body one.

that blue one is pretty cool. i think he might be talking about that one that had like that marble-like paint job and also had the nsx wide body. the owner posted on here a little bit back.

Hey guys. The car on the magazine is my car. JT did the first NSX Style Widebody on my car for that feature. If you're interested on the kit you can PM me or PM carsoption.

actually, jt autostyle didn't do the nsx in the magazine, TORU Suzuki Pass Limit USA did the nsx in the magazine. the wide body kit that is in the magazine article doesn't have any certain front, you can put on any front you like. they chose the octane for the article. i personally think it would have looked better with a tsunami or a bomex, but i don't think jt makes those, so i guess thats why they chose their octane replica. im browsing their site right now, my connection is a little slow, but if i see the kit, then i will post it. currently i am in 7th gens, next, im going to the new products section. i willpost a link to it as soon as i find it. i don't think its the ebp vic you're talking about either. im gonna keep digging. seriously, you all should go pick up a copy of this magazine, its only $4.99 US. which isn't much at all. you don't even have to buy it, you can just find it in the store and flip through it to page 51 and see it. if anyone has a copy and a scanner, i'd appreciate it if you could scan and post the pics, because i have been searching like a **** and still can't find it.

The widebody that I'm talking about is not the one on the cover. It's the one in the install spread. That kit is INDEED made by JT autostyle, although I have now seen a few other companies trying to duplicate it. PopcornPlaya is correct, you could put any front on the kit, but since they want to keep everything JT, they put the JT Evo front bumper. The front bumper is actually the JT line's bumpers. It looks almost exactly like an octane, but they have a few minor changes. The license plate has a location on the bumper molded onto it, and there is a seperater on the first mesh section on both sides of the mouth for Nismo corner markers. They call this kit the Evo V no fog. As for side skitrs, I have the Evo V, and for the rear bumper, I have their Evo IV with duel exhaust outlets.

either way, JT still copied the octane except for those two small things. but, with out teh fogs installed i don't think many people could tell the difference in the JT kit and the VIS kit. anyway, seems like you have teh mag, so do you have a scanner and could you scan in some pics. or just ask the people at JT, since you have had them do some work for you, if they could put pics up on their site?

Actually, the octane kit was copied from JT's Evo V kit. I personally know the owner of VIS and JT autostyle. JT had a kit that looked like the octane kit except it had a lip molded together with the front kit. THey released that about 3 1/2 years ago. They called it the Evo IV and when the 7th gen civics came out, they made the Evo V which many copied and called the Octane. They simpley left out the Nismo corner lights, casue that's a JT trademark, so it'd be too obvious if they copied it and left that in. As for photos, they have some on the site. It's on a blue 2k1. My picture is on the pop up when you first enter the page (the marble one). In a few months, HCI should publish the spread of my finished car. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
