REVO SS Installed
REVO SS Installed
I installed my Revo SS the other day and it's a serious improvement. I also used Grey's SS upgrade kit and CapYoda's Bushing kit. When you compare their kits to the orginal counterparts from your stock shifter, you'll be happy you got theirs. The shifter doesnt budge at all and is strong.
The Revo SS is definately worth the buy. Your shift will be smoother, faster, and shorter.
I also give props to HondaWerx because I bought the shifter from his site. You might be able to find the shifter for less elsewhere, but HondaWerx's personal service is worth the extra couple dollars. He's always online, and will no doubt get back to you if you have questions about your order or general questions about your parts. To me the extra couple dollars is worth it to recieve this kind of service.

nice setup. i got the rsx base **** too, and it is much better than stock. how long did the shipping take from hondawerx? i am thinking of buying one too.
Actually I already had the RSX base **** before i put the Revo SS in. HEH... I guess we think alike!!
It shipped to me in 3 days, but HondaWerx said it shipped fast cuz I live in TX... I dunno, i'm pretty sure it would get there in a week or less.

how much does the RSX **** run? I have an aftermarket right now, but its kinda annoying that the shift boot doesnt attach; so i figure why not have a good looking **** that clicks in?

the type-s is 6-speed, that would be kinda stupid to put a 6-speed shift **** on a 5-speed car. that is why everyone gets the base rsx ****, not the type-s.

And PM me with price and info on that RSX ****...i dont really care if its 6 speed. That'll actually be good when I eventually do my k20a2 swap.( looooong way down the road)

Nope. The Revo is a full assembly. The DC and Neuspeed (and the countless clones out there) just clip on to the stock shaft. The only other full assembly short shifter is OBX (they make both an adapter and a full assembly).

grey's kit is more complete. I wont be selling those anymore, its just confusing people.
and yeah I'm out of stock on the bushings.. so for anyone that wants one.. doh!
will get back in stock though, bad thing is I just dont know how long it'll take yet.
get the $16, and then get Grey's kit also. I think the $18 includes some parts similar to Grey's kit, but it is better to get Grey's; better quality stuff. CapYoda even says on that web page I provided that he recommends getting Grey's kit.

Also I'm not sure about you but if installed improperly the DC adapter looks like it could fall off the shaft or something. Whereas it's really quite impossible to screw up installing the Revo. And I heard of someone putting it on wrong and the throws for 1, 3, and 5 were shorter but 2, 4 and R were lengthened.....I can't verify this but I'm sure you have to position the adapter JUST RIGHT to take advantage of its features.
the DC just shortens front-to-back pull. The Revo shortens that, plus side-to-side, AND the stick is shorter, giving you further reduced throw. Just give it the extra $20 and go with the Revo

I had the REVO SS on my last coupe and I plan on getting it for my new coupe. Its worth it. I also had Khumo sport bushings. They are the same as Capyoda's kit. But they cost a few bucks more. And since Capyoda is out of his, you might want to look into getting the Khumos until He gets more. I also had the RSX base titanium shift ****.
I really like this shift **** because it was heavier and helped with making the shifting smoother. I know a few other members have done this, i'll try to find some links to some pics of it. And likes to the Khumo Sport bushings.
