Diy Cai.....

ok guys help me out once more on this i really need yalls opinion so here it goes, i bought a AEM short ram on ebay and i got a lil out of it meaning power wise, so i was thinkin of converting it into a CAI so all i did was go to LOWES and bought my self a 3ft 3in. steel flex pipe and added it to the end of the short ram conected it with some intake sleves and added the air filter to the end and there!!!! a cheap way for a CAI but.......i did notice a loss of power WT F?

i think what he means is he lost low end torque. that happens on CAIs so its normal. but you're supposed to gain on top end.

The flex-pipe has gotta be creating some incredible turbulence in there.... which means not as much air that could be going into the engine is going into the engine because its bouncing off all the ridges in the piping and creating a back pressure.
Doesn't AEM make an extension kit?

And about the low end torque loss... I never noticed anything.

so what do u recomend? take off the flex pipe and stick with the short ram? or????
