Electrical or mechanical?

Which one is better elec. or mech. gauges. I am mainly talking about the boost gauge. Is there really a big difference? Also oil temp. And which gauges are best. I mean brand.

autometer makes some of the best gauges, expensive but good. Manual gauges, i feel are better because less parts to break.

I prefer electrical because you just have to tap the system and wire a sensor, rather than add a line and bring the oil to the gauge.
