Any opinions on the Mugen Radiator Cap?
Hey guys,
I'm wondering what everyone thinks of the Mugen radiator cap. I live in Texas where the norm is as hot as 104 degrees. My car doesn't get hot, not too many miles on my 02 civic, but I am just trying to prevent any problems from occuring due to heat.
Granted, I won't put on the cap till this summer, I wanted to know what people thought of the cap....if its worth it. Any sites to find this cap would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mugen Radiator Cap
They go for $45.
I don't think I exactly need that. But since you live in Hotville, maybe it could help.
They go for $45.
The stock radiator cap will hold pressure up to 1.1 kg/cm or 16 psi. This Mugen radiator cap will hold pressure to 1.3 kg/cm or 19 psi, which is generally good for at least an extra 10 degrees F.

You'd probably be better off dumping something like Water Wetter in rather than just jumping up the pressure. All thats gonna do is move the fluid faster, which will make it spend less time in the radiator.
