Welded Koni's today

Well I decided to take one for the team and try to weld my spring perch on my rear struts.

They can be welded I did it without any damage.
The first one that I did I got to hot and blew it out.
The only way that it can be done is small taks and cooling it often tak it untill all the covered. The one that I blew out I cut in half the wall is about 1/8 thick. FYI

The other one is working just fine there is also a way to put braces in it so all the stress is not on the weld

If anyone has any questions on this maybe I can help I've been welding for awhile
Another tip is you must mig weld them, it is a must

Intruder is an unknown quantity at this point
alot of people, including me, have conitnuous problems with the perch bending and eventually completely breaking over the mounting ring, some people have also had the ring break. This is why I am taking mine off after 16 months and waiting for tokico or kyb's for the rear....
