Front license plate mount

on the 02 civic coupe.. the front license plate mount only has the top 2 screw holes from the factory.. If I wanted to screw in 2 holes in the bottom, how should I do it without @#^&ing up the finish? do I just screw in the screws directly? or do I hafta drill?.. also can I get a same or similar type screw at home depot or the like? I hate dealing with honda parts dept.. they suck

yah i got a 2002 sedan as well and theres only two screws. i would assume its always better to pre drill with a smaller drill bit but why is it that important that you need 4 screws though?

I dont have front plate, I pulled it off cause i dont like them. Cops around here are fussy about it and I plan on having the holder shaved so the bumper looks unison.

hmmm.. cuz it's tighter! we're all here cuz we're crazy about our civics... besides I do notice 'banging' from the bottom part of the license plate against the mount. It gives me a loose feeling that I wanna get rid of.... Thanks for the info guys...

use adhesive padding and stick it to the bottom of the liscense plate so it doesn't rattle(or you can't hear it.) I did that and it works like a charm, I don't want to drill my bumper myself...
