I hate reading the disclaimer "Buyer fully understands that all body kits and spoilers are sold "as is" with no warranty. Due to the fact that most body kits are made of fiberglass chips and cracks may need to be repaired prior to installation - " doesn't make me want to buy fiberglass evar

Well as you may know if you have ever bought a kit that it does not always come in mint condition. You will always have to do at a minimum a little spot putty before paint and that I presume is what they are getting at. So have no fear. Also when you do add a kit fiberglass not only takes to paint better but will not droop or sag like urethane will. Also urethane despite what people may tell you WILL CRACK!!!!!!! So when buying a kit always remember that fiberglass will always look 100% better when it is painted!!!!!!!!!

yeah... but the problem w/ fiberglass is that if you hit ANYTHING, you will leave pieces of your car around town....

not all fiberglass is bad. The kits that comes gel coated usually fit good and are ready for paint, but you will pay a higher price for them too. Its also hard to get paint to stick to Urethane.

yah fiberglass strength really depends on who makes it, but one thing i can tell you is spend the extra money on a good quality product. Even though it sounds good to be saving alot of money on a cheaper quality product you'll always be paying out on it in the end believe me.
