Rain
This is the first vehicle I have ever owned where if my window is cracked about an inch or 2, the rain just POORS in. This is my 14th vehicle and the worst with rain pooring in.
ANyone use those deflectors? Do they actually work? I think they look aweful (yeah, I like a stock look), but if they function well I'll consider it.
thanks!!

Bellz has them on his car I know. . They look allright I guess. My experience is they work very well. You can keep the windows cracked when it's raining out and they'll keep the rain out. However. like Renamazazo said. Keeping the ole windows up when it's raining is probably the best/cost effective method to keep the rain out.
Heh even with those rain'll pour into yer doors from the outside.... I was driving in rain with my door panels off and the water just pours right in. One day I was parked on an incline when it as raining and there was water dripping out of the speaker grille from the inside of the door when I got back in. All around our doors are leaky as hell. I had to buy some automotive weatherstripping and seal up a bunch of areas (heh needed to rant a lil). And yes those deflectors work well, one of my friends had em on a 98 civic and no rain came in.
yah i have the same problem.... because when i smoke i like to have the window open... and all the rain pours in...
i just don't wanna put the deflectors because i don't think they'll look that great

Surprisingly... you can drive in the rain with the sunroof popped and not get wet. So I usually do that if the defogger gets over run.

I've seen a couple of civics driving around town with colour matched delflectors and they looked really good.
I'm thinking of getting a set and colour matching them too

I crack my windows open when it's raining outside too... my car gets foggy if I don't and I hate running the A/C when I don't have to.

What I hate is when I use the wipers and spray the window while driving the extra liquid comes flying back into the car if the window is even down an inch.

You'd be surprised how good they look in person. The pics don't do them justice. I first saw them on a silver 7thgen EX right after I bought my DX. At the time I was undecided on whether they'd look good on a then "new" style car, but I liked them on that EX. I ordered them at PepBoys for about $45. IMO, they blend in very well with the black door frames, tinted windows and black mirrors of the DX. The only drawbacks is that they cut down on the size of the window area when you're at a drive thru (a minor thing), they contribute to the A-pillar blind spot (you can see through them, they're only tinted plastic), and you have to be careful at the car wash not to pull them off when washing and drying.
They're not permanent, so you can take them off and sell them if you don't like 'em.
I highly recommend them.

Here's a pic:
