Does anyone know of a company that makes a computer module that can change the shift points on an auto to make it perform better and more like a 5 speed manual transmission? Also keep in mind I don't have a $1000 to spend either like the buddy club one that I read about on another thread.

Alright. Changing the shift points... if you floor it it shifts at redline, and otherwise it shifts based on how far you push the gas down. You're not going to change that with a simple computer chip. The stock setup makes logical sense. If, for example, you wanted to change it to always shift out of a gear at redline, that would be stupid because then if you were only going 25mph you'd be stuck in first gear at like 5k rpm. See what I mean?
I think what you want is something like a sequential shifter or paddle shifters or something that allows you to tell it when to shift. Like a clutchless manual or something. That's what I want too

you can play around with the shifter to "shift" your auto
(except no first gear
), but i heard something like it's bad for the transmission. too bad; it was fun for a while. anyway, i saw this kit online for a sequential shifter conversion kit (i don't know if it was specifically for our civics, though), but it was over 1000 bucks anyway...
but whatever, once you get used to how far down you need to push the accelerator to get it to shift at a certain RPM, you have "some" control (barely)
