Wiring snake eyes to guage cluster

While splicing wires to install my indiglo gauges I had an apiffany(sp). Since I got these cool little skull washer lights as a gift the same day as the gauges, I thought while cutting into my wire that if I connected the possitive of the skull lights to the same wire maybe they could turn on simply from flicking on my lights. My question is can I connect the pos. from both skulls to the same wire I connected my indiglo brain? Like would it be OK wattage wise, not cause any shorts, if so could I maybe connect it to another wire on the cluster? I'm sure it was dont this way before so does anyone have an idea? Thanks.

Yes it will work but the lights would only come on when you turned your headlights on. You wouldn't be able to turn them on without the lights. IMO I would find a better place to hook them up. Just because if you wanted to turn tham off at night you couldn't if you did it that way and vise versa. I put neon lights inside and hooked tham up to the stereo power wire and put a micr switch in the hida away comp. of the center cosole. This way i can turn them on at night with no other lights on. It makes them stand out more not having the headlights on. just somthing to think about.

Yeah I hear you, and if I had foglights (eventually) with a switch I would simply combine the switch for both of them. But I really don't feel like going to pep boys and buying wire/switches/etc just for it, I had these when they first came out and my friend did it all for me, the button sort of broke and the coils would sometimes spark and it just really discouraged me to even turn them on, just had bad experiences with makeshift switches. Besides, I dont see me wanting to put them on at any time other then when my headlights are too, and cops would have other major things to pull me over for if they choose to as well.. so as long as it wont cause electrical problems splicing my cluster again, I think I might do it like this. Thanks for the info.

be advised about fuse #12 or 15 under the hood. Its the blue one 15 amp. I blew that one a lot messing with the wattage on the dash, and gauge cluster, but finally got it figured out. If you lights go out, just check under the hood in the fuse box, gaurantee it will be that 15amp fuse, experience talking. Dont panic, just make sure you have some spare blue 15amp fuses. he he he
