$1000 for RSX-S leathers?

I got a guy who wrote off his RSX-S and now he wants a $1000CDN/ around $700USD
for the front and back seats(they are the same as in in Hawks ride)
Is this a good deal or should I give him less?
I have still yet to see the condition of the leather(I really just want the shape of the front)
His poor K20 got ruined though I really wanted that

Are you going to find a way to custom fit the rear seats into your civic? The front seats will bolt right in with little-to-no effort, and that's probably the main reason for buying. I'd say try to get the front seats only, and then buy leather for your existing rear Civic bench. But $700 seems like a pretty good price, WITHOUT damage.

If you go and look at "Hawk" in members rides you will see the back fits including the rear deck so thats not much of a problem
I have some friends in the auto upholstery biz so they will hook me up.

I really just wanted some peeps opinions on the whole price thing
like should I still try to haggle him down some or is that a good fair price as is?

Youre smoking crack: the rear does not fit , no way, no how, withoud modification. period. I had the interior complete swap done on my civic, and is now in the swap civic. 750 for a like new interior is a GREAT price. BTW this is Mugen Racer X on my GF's computer

hey man. I'm not trying to cause trouble here.

Good luck with your project. Post a whole lotta pics too if you can, because you're not the last person who will want to be doing the seat swap.

But yeah, around $700US for the set is an alright price. I've seen some sets trying to be sold here for $800-$900US delivered. Maybe you can bargain a little more... after all, what would he need the seats for, right?

Yeah, your being ignorant X-R8ED.

The front seats bolt right in, YES, but the back does not. You have to make alot of modifications to the backseats for them to fit, not worth it IMO. Just buy the front seats and wrap the backseats in leather too. That would look alot better.

open your picture in an image program and shrink the picture and save it. The picture has to be less than 51kb size limit. Usually resizing them to about 50% will make any picture attachable.

When you want to post them here: click "Reply", then type in anything in the big box, and down the page click the 'Browse' button and attach the picture you just resized!

If you have to, use Paint. That's the only image program I know how to use really well.

according to Hawk the back seats(lower a$$ cushions for the RSX are curved and the civic coupe lower a$$ cushions are straight)the inside foam just has to be trimmed and re-wrapped and then they fit.
I also said I have friends who do custom auto interiors so I can get the backs done with out a problem.

sorry but I didnt know I was being ignorant this is just what I was told I could do by someone who has proof that they have already done it.

this thread is supposed to be about opinions on the price of the seats
anyways but I guess I have to take advice on the backs fitting as well.

2k2EX could you give me some opinions on the price?(lets just pretend the back seats just fit in perfect)

Click the "User CP" button at the top of the page (right under the '7thGenCivic.com' title).
Click "Edit Options" (above My Bookmarks).
Then go all the way to the bottom of that page to the Avatar section.
Click the "Change Avatar" button on the right side of the page.

You can use one of the avatars the site has, but you can also type in the address of a picture online. But it has to be small.

Haha- okay we will pretend they fit perfect....

Yeah thats a good price. On Ebay ive seen them average $1000 with front and back. A while back i was going to pay $500 for just the front, cause all i want is the front, and i thought that was good. $250 a seat aint bad i dont think!
