I don't like the vroom.. I want a cat-back for the slight bit of gain but I'd just leave the silencer in all the time.. Im not sure if the silencer takes away from the "gain" that the exhaust were to give. If that were the case, I'd live it in all the time then take it out when need be

silencer takes all the high end away ... I think.

Well, if you do plan to use the silencer for extended periods of time, be sure to put it in, then reset your ecu.

silencers takes a bit of high end away, but it also gives a bit back to the low end.

also can you tell me the reason why you need to reset ecu for exhaust install? i personally don't think you need to, the only reason for intake and ecu reset is so it will know how to mix the fuel and air mixture. but with exhaust, there is no sensor behind the cat.

you can leave it on as long as you want. I've had mine on for about four months straight now

you never had to reset the ecu, since our ecu adjust by itself later anyways...

well ... I suppose you don't really NEED to reset the ecu after you install an exhaust ... but I believe it has something to do with backpressure ... *shrug*

um ... well, actually, you don't need to reset it even after an intake or header ... it will just set itself automatically ... eventually. But it would be easier to reset it ... so you can have the ecu already know a good air mixture setting.
