im about to purchase a xenon body kit for my 01 civic. i was wondering if anybody that reads this has one, if it was easy tgo put it on and how much was it to get painted. i went and talked to someone at a body shop and they said it is hard to paint aftermarket bumpers...the paint doesnt stick. if anyone could help me out that be great!

Look in members rides. thats a popular kit.
And any body shop that says its hard to paint... isn't the one you want to go to. Sanded, prepared and primed properly, paint sticks to bumpers just fine.

I have the Xenon Urethane bumpers, cost me 700 for the kit and about another 400 to paint it, I went to the same body man that painted my dad's vette a couple years ago so I know I could trust him with some bumpers.
i have the kit and i love it. the only problem area i have on mine is the rear bumper. . the high exhaust heat melted some of the urethane above the muffler. no big deal. just make sure u have atleast one inch clearance between the muffler and the bumper. my driver side side skirt was like one inch too big , hardly noticable tho. when you put the front bumper on there are no supports undereath. the side of the front bumper tends to pull outward so i made a support that held it in. ill send u pics of that if u want it. Urethane is the way to go. it does cost more to paint but its soo much more durable than fiberglass. order it from www.jcwsportcompact.com they ship cheap and are fast. i love my kit but im thinkin about changing my side skirts to somethign like kaminari. check out my ride to see some pics. good luck with the car man
