muffler questions

hey, im low in cash and in need of hp and was wondering how much hp difference u get from just adding a muffler instead of a full exhaust. Also... how do u install a muffler?

Do u need to trim bak the existing exhaust pipe?

none, you wont get any but annoying sound
if you want muffler.go to muffler shop and they can weld it on to your stock piping'

muffler only=loud sound w/ no HP!

cat back kit=3-8 HP

depending on what universal muffler you purchase some of the piping might have to be cut or extended to ensure its not too close to the bumper otherwise youll be smeeling burnt paint and plastic. IMO sont settle for just a muffler on your stock piping save up and purchase a real catback.
