RSX center console

i did a search on whether an RSX manual console will fit a 7th gen manual center console but i couldnt find anything. i like the idea of a little tray and the cup holder right below it. does anyone know if this is a perfect swap or if its even possible. it looks exactly the same to me when i looked at my friend's rsx.

I dunno? I don't think it'll be perfect, but I'm sure you could get it to work.. Or just buy and RSX.

Yes, the console will fit............BUT, it will not clip to the dash right. I will be off. There was a member here who go an RSX-R center console and put it in his car. There was a small gap where it attaches to the dash.

it's 'skinnier'. you will actually be able to reach for the things you drop in between the seat and the console. almost no mods needed.

I'm guessing the RSX center console only fits the 01-02 7th gens?

the rsx console has relatively less separate pieces than any year 7th gen (making it lighter).
towards the rear of the center console, it is slimmer.
You'll notice that there is no compartment at the side of the ebrake and there is no bin in between the shifter and the ebrake. The civic has a panel for the ebrake that may have the sliding-lid compartment and may also have a rear cupholder. in an 03, the ebrake panel holds an armrest and a hidden large compartment
The RSX and Civic both have shifter panels.
The forward cupholders for the Civic various depending on year and model. in an '02 EX the cupholder includes a lid. in an '03 EX the cupholder connects to the lower dashboard.

I wanted to swap to an RSX console because it was sporty and less square and bulky, but I went with an '02 Civic console because it had cupholders with a lid, as well as the compartment next to the ebrake with a sliding cover (I keep my butterfly knife in there). I also keep the remote to my cdchanger in the bin between the ebrake and the shifter.

Umm. . allright. . a good try, but if I did that. . I would try to fix the gap . If the gap couldn't be fixed. . I would go back to my old console, because that just isn't nice. I've added this mod to my list of things not to do. .
