according to his description the buttons on the remote do nothing but if you just want the switch blade effect then go ahead. it has a blank key so i suppose you are suppose to make a copy of your key on it.

I don't think this would work because of the computer chip in our keys. Unless I've been misinformed..? I was looking at those butterfly key things and I was told that I couldn't get one because of the chip!

I think it's a cool idea, but to spend that much for a key? Eh, I dunno...Maybe if you are all done doing stuff to yer car, or if you really like that sort of thing I guess.

You know whats sweet, the guy that invented the chip that is inserted into car keys lives near me, and was a substitute teacher at my school (he subbed for my english teacher twice or so).
He drives a Jag XJ8 (I think, its the one thats top of the line, its a hardtop convertible).
He also invented the panic button.
But, on topic, the switchblade thing is cool but dont waste your money, just buy a vw or audi.

i dont think u can use it couse we have an immobilizer so if that key doesnt have the immobilizer chip in it and its programmmed to our cars it wont work for the ignition....for the doors and trunk yes but not for the ignition

you cant use them because of the chips in our keys, the earlier gen keys didnt have them. You can get them made but all they will do is open the trunk and doors, wont be able to start the ignition with them.
too bad the buttons don't do anything, they should be programable to your alarm and so on, and there should be a chip in there too, otherwise it's a waste of money. Your Honda deal would program the chip if it had on in it, so that's no problem 'cause they sell these "Type R" keys and they've got the chip in them, just needs to be reprogrammed by Honda.
" YOU DONT HAVE TO SPEND OVER $75000 TO BUY MERCEDES BENZ S500 CAR TO HAVE THIS KEY, NOW EVEN YOU DRIVE HONDA CARS, YOU STILL HAVE SAME FEELING FOR THIS *POP OUT* KEY. " LOL!! that s in till you get to your car
