Do our models (01+ Civic ) have the knocking sensor inside the engine?!

yeah but you gotta have a knock sensor already in you car so the vafc2 will be able to recognoze it.. thats what he's asking...

"The knock control system adjusts ignition timing to minimize knock."
FYI... Knock is also know as detonation.

The knock sensor on our cars is bolted onto the side of the engine. It's right above the oil filter.

Does the VAFCII come out with some warning light or correction in a/f ratio when it detects a knock ? Is there a wire from the VAFCII that is suppose to go to the knock sensor ?

No. Knock sensor is only to adjust ignition timing when you put lower or higher octane fuel in.

the safc2 has a knock thing built into the unit.. the vafc2 doesnt
