Just upgraded spark plugs to NGK Iridiums

With 30,000 on th odo I thought It would be a good time to swap out my plugs. I went with th NGK Iridiums for like $35 shipped. Any way the old Denso's that were in there were all burnt up on the ceramic insulator and the top of the plug had losts of carbon on them. I dont see how Honda sez these are good for 100,000 miles!!??

ah the stock are platinums, no?

they're fairly expensive. I thought they were suppose to last awhile.

I checked mine at 28,000 recently.. and they're still fine. no carbon build up..

spark plug tells something about ur engine.. u may want to check into why the plugs are that condition at 30,000 miles.

Something is not right I took mine out at 40,000 and they still looked perfect. have you been changing your oil normally?

I have been changing my oil every 2,500-3,000 miles since I bought the car new. Since 10,000 I have used synthetic oil. But, I do drive the car hard almost everyday and I drive it for work so I take 3-6 short trips a day with it in this wonderful Florida heat and drive 25 miles to and from work as well.

Hehe. . If you feel more power then you're just insane. . So I consider it a good thing that you don't feel anymore power. However the smooth idle and better response is what I was looking for.

i really doudt that they will make an aftermarket harness but the do have after maket coil packs called plasma blasters but they are exspensive and every body i have talked to says that the are a rip so i dont know if msd made some coil packs for our cars that would probably be good

yeah the plasma coils sucks ***... I had them, they burnt out.. so I sent them back.. now ignition solutions never answers the phone, they dont return phone calls, and they dont answer email. WARNING: DO NOT ORDER THE IGNITION SOLUTIONS PLASMA COILS. Their company sucks, the product is ****, and their service is terrible.. I am about to call my credit card company and charge them back because of getting ripped off...

funny how the recommended NGK double platinum for our car (stock spec) is cheaper than the NGK x2 iridium or whatever.
