frustrated HX owner
now i kno most of you can be pretty f*cked up when it comes to comments about 7thgens that are not EX's... but i'm an HX/CVT owner, and damn proud of it.. only thing is when it comes to lookin for that extra mod for my HX its damn near impossible. i've been told by my peeps at D.R.T racing in nyc that the HX and EX share basically the same engine except for the 2 cats. in the HX and the CVT trannie... now i'm not asking for opinions on which car has what type of VTEC or what not.. but i'm kinda new to the import scene and i'm lookin for kinda the right direction twards finding mods for my wipp.... i got the exterior down pact.. all i'm lookin for is the BEST engin mod recomendations...such as headers/intake....well you kno the deal..... again i don't wanna hear...leave it stock..or trade it in.. just for some good wholesome advice... thanxs !

AEM Red camgear (not installed yet)
Well i know the AEM cai for an hx is the same as an EX i have a friend that has an hx. but for the header i gess you would have to get somethhing with a down pipe cause the 2 cat thing. i think HP makes the full header for your car. well the only difference between the ex and the HX that i seen wen i compared them by looking at them is the stock heder and extra cat. so any engine mod that isnt exhaust should be the same as the EX
My wife has the HX with CVT to. I just added a drop in K&N filter and it elps out a little other wise she wont let me do anything else to it. I believe you have to replace the entire exhaust at once. In other works you need the header a downpipe with cat(if you want to stay legal) then a cat back exhaust upgrade.
Does your CVT rumble at like 10-20 MPH if you start off driving slow?
