2009 Civic Si USB not working

Hey everyone,

I just picked up a 2009 Si, but seems like I cant figure out how to switch to usb mode, I would go to the car manual but it didnt come with it. I have tried pulgging in multiple usb drives and a couple ipods but none work. It seems like I cant get from AUX to USB. Any suggestions?

Plug in your iPod and just below the display there's three buttons, AM/FM, CD, and AUX.
Press the AUX button, wait until the car recognizes your iPod. It should start playing music immediately.

I wish the solution was that simple

I have tried doing that but it does not work. Have any of you guys been in the same situation? If so how'd you resolve it? Also, does anyone know of a DIY site for civic si to replace the USB harness incase its faulty?
