Radio to Amp Issue.

Been working for the past day putting a new sub and amp into my 2007 Honda Civic Ex. The problem I have been running into is the input from radio to my amp. In other words, my radio will not send any feedback or music to my amp. Currently im running a rca cable from amp to radio. However, I do not want to replace the factory radio. Instead, I have tried to use a line output converter before my rca cable reaches my radio. Wired it up, and still no sound to my any of my subs. My amp is turning on through my remote wire attached to my cigarette lighter, so it is not my power source. Also, the speakers are wired correctly from amp to sub. If anyone has any ideas on what im doing incorrectly, a response would be more than appreciated.
