Intermittent interior lighting issues

2006 EX.
Radio/Clock display was out when starting the car. Applied directed physics adjustment (smacked it), lighting came on. Occasionally, lights are dimmed (as if headlights are on, even when they aren't). Shifted from reverse to drive, all lights on shifter went out until I hit a pothole, they came back on. Went to make a right turn, applied turn signal, lights dimmed. This has been happening over the last few months.

Car runs fine. 180K miles on it, no complaints. But this intermittent crap is annoying. Can I disconnect/clean/reconnect electrical harness connectors, reset connections on back of panels, or just plan to smack it more often?

Re: Intermittent interior lighting issues

Sounds like a poor connection......locating it could be tough.

Someone on the 8th gen site recently found an open SMD type fuse. But that is not your situation.

Narrow to separate wiring, or head unit.
