Rep Power: 0 Fuel gauge wacky in 04 Civic CNG
Thats my gig these days fixing CNG vehicles.
This civic came in not running and Its now running after draining the crud out of the HP regulator.
I went to take it for a test drive and the fuel gauge read "full." As I drove the needle fell and eventually hit empty and the fuel light is blinking.
I replaced the pressure sensor in the back but that didnt change the problem.
Another goofy thing but may be related is the battery light is on, but a voltage test shows the alternator is operational at 13.9v.
I know there are very few people familiar with these CNG Civics but figured I'd give it a try here. Maybe ezone will see this and find some top secret Honda document with a fix.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Fuel gauge wacky in 04 Civic CNG
Sorry man, I've never seen one of Hondas CNG cars in real life.
I've only seen a few at the training center.
I HEARD one rolled through our lot several years ago from far out of state, needed a headlight or something but I did not get to see it. The guys who saw it said it had a second fuel canister in the trunk......they need it because there sure isn't infrastructure in my area for CNG refueling that I know of.
I'll PM you in a bit
