Cleaning the area of the gear change inside
Cleaning the area of the gear change inside
Hi,
I accidentally spilled half of the can of Coke to my gear stick of the 2014 Honda Civic EX.
Does anyone know how to remove the cover to clean it?
The gear still work but it is sticky and I have to pull or push harder than normal.
Thanks in advance.

I'd probably remove the whole center console, then remove the shifter assembly from the floor, strip all electrical parts from the shifter then soak it in hot soapy water to get the syrup out of it. Clean, dry, relube.
