Air problems?

Have a 06 civic si bought it with a cold air intake already in it. When u press in the clutch to shift ur rpms stay up. Also the hose that attaches to the throttle body if u squeeze it makes the car run oddly. I have been told to go back to the stock air intake but anyone have an easier fix.

I understand they do that.

Don't do that. It's probably disrupting density measurements from the MAF sensor.
