New car(for me), new problems.

New car(for me), new problems.
So I just got my first Honda civic wanna dart building it. But it questions and need to fix some things before I start tuning.
Ok question 1. When I'm just regularly driving etc, neutral at a light, my car makes a rattling sound. I got out had my friend press the gas pedal. It was coming from the engine block. What could it be? A loose piston?
Question 2. When I reverse my car makes a (quiet to loud) kinda like squeezing noise.. Is it my transmission, a belt?
