2006 Civic - CD player won't work

2006 Civic - CD player won't work
The battery died and the audio system quit working. I obtained the code needed and input it and the radio worked fine, however the CD player (stock) does not work and my wife is on the warpath. Any simple fixes to this problem? I appreciate it!

Buy your wife an Ipod and use the aux input (assuming you have an ex)
