just jouned forum and need help please
2006 civic SE CTDI 2.2 diesel mileage 60k
just replaced a clutch ( genuine honda) and have the following prob
Mechanic broke VSS switch as he was doing clutch, and said he would order and replace, new one came and the mechanic
installed new VSS. mechanic said all gears selecting ok but when put into reverse the spedo stopped working and the managment light came on, he checked and the VSS switch was broke again so must be hitting something when reverse selected! ( metal shroud at end of switch was crushed), so no speedo engine management light on again.
any idea? driving fine otherwise. Dont trust the mechanic now and others are sucking air through there teeth as they do and say emmm gear box %u00A31000's mate.
the cluch was %u00A3260 should the dual mass have need replaced as well and would that cause the probs? cant get any return calls from mechanic, trying to find out what he replaced, clutch only or clutch with dual mass flywheel, but at the price if clutch i would asume no fly wheel replaced.
All susestions and help appreciated
