09 Civic LX Question

Hi guys,

Quick question, so the other day while driving home from work I had the wonderful experience of having my under engine splash guard rip off due to hitting quite the deep puddle.

My question is, since I have zip tied it up quite well (and by quite well I mean it's got not chance of moving or falling off, I figured this was a better idea then ripping it off all together). Will this be an issue when I bring it in for an oil change? Or does the guard not need to be removed for the oil change?

Thank you in advance.

Re: 09 Civic LX Question

Had the same issue with 06 LX coupe and also used zip ties. It doesn't need to be taken off for oil change. No matter how well I thought I fixed it, it would come off the next time I bottomed out on the pavement (we have alot of potholes in LA). Eventually it just shredded to pieces. If it comes loose one or two more times, I'd just take it off.
