Lexus GS400
Hi guys. Attached is a copy of an ad I put on Craigslist today. $7975. If you're in the market, feel free to compare with others for sale. Everything I see is beat up and not black interior...
Possible trade: No Hondas unless its an S2000
1999 Lexus GS400 - Alpine Silver - 4.0L - V-8 - 300 HP - 5-spd tip auto w/OD and e-shift steering controls.
You will genuinely be hard pressed to find another accident free, clean titled, GS400 with such a meticulous service history/owner record on Craigslist.
I traveled from Phoenix to Los Angeles to purchase this vehicle in the summer of 2009 and have used it as a daily driver since. The vehicle had two owners before myself; one being a corporate vehicle for a law firm, the other a lawyer for the firm. I purchased the vehicle with just over 100K miles, with one of my main criteria being that I needed a vehicle with the 90K mile maintenance already completed (timing belt, water pump, etc). Not only had this been done, I also have the original purchase binder, all 4 keys, and the service printout from Lexus in 1000 Oaks, California up to the point that I purchased the vehicle. The car still has the original spare, first aid kid, and car cover.
Since ownership I have upgraded the following:
2001 + taillights
2001+ cluster bezel
6K HID's in the main headlights as well as the fog lamps (the vehicle is a factory HID car with self leveling headlights)
Lexus LS400 wheels
Daizen Bushing kit (all front suspension including front/rear swaybars
Short ram air intake (OEM included with the vehicle)
Stereo (vehicle has aftermarket equipment, but the OEM equipment is included or can be reinstalled prior to sale)
Preventative Maintenance:
Ball Joints
Outer Tie Rods
Alignment
This is a clean title car that needs nothing mechanically. It does not hesitate, drip, smoke, etc and has cost me nothing more than oil changes and premium fuel. The body is in excellent condition for the age, with a minor amount of clearcoat fade by the trunk. The condition of the fade has not changed in my 1.5 year ownership in the AZ sun and is difficult to tell because of the vehicle color. The car has the much sought after black leather, which is in great shape. AC, cruise control, and heated seats all work as they should.
If you're considering a vehicle of this class, I encourage you to come take a look. Title is clear and ready to be signed over.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
