I am looking to get rid of my Civic EX in preparation for making a down payment on something a bit nicer. While the car has been fantastic to me, without so much as an ounce of trouble, I would like to explore my options of selling.

So, without further ado, here is "my ride":

About the Car:
- 2003 Honda Civic EX 4-Door Sedan
- 1.7L D17 127HP SOHC VTEC
- 50,xxx Miles (Increases daily as this is my daily driver, PM for exact number)
- 5-Speed Manual
- Dark Blue
- Sunroof
- Dark Grey Interior
- In Dash 6-Disc CD Changer
- Stock Steelies and Hubcaps
- 185/65/R15 all around (BRAND NEW FRONT TIRES, ONLY 5k MILES ON REAR TIRES!!!)
- NEW FRONT BRAKES!!!! Replaced pads and refinished rotors on 2/6/2008....Rear have 70% life left.
- CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FROM HONDA DEALERSHIP!!!!

The Good:
- Car runs great and hasn't given me any trouble
- Transmission shifts clean and smooth like a Honda 5SPD should
- Oil has been changed every 3,000 miles
- Completely stock, never been modded

KBB puts Excellent at $12,335. I am asking $11,500 OBO, I am flexible, so please post, PM, or email for more info.

This car is a great daily driver and is a Honda. It will get you to 200k miles no problem.

No, I haven't put it in the local paper mainly because I am at school in Athens, OH....about 4 hours south of Cleveland. Athens is just a small town and Cleveland is too far away to locally list. Plus, The Plain Dealer is expensive, like $20 for 2 lines for 2 weeks.

Mugenman, if you can come up with a way of getting financing man, I'll drive this thing to your house for a test drive.

I found a VW Jetta VR6 in Michigan for a great price and with 10k less miles. Looking to get something a bit more upscale on this, but I need the cash from this to make the sale. The dealer isn't offering me enough on a trade to go through them.

Most people on here already have a Civic...

I would try posting on www.Craigslist.com I got about 10 offers a week when mine was posted on there.

Good luck getting over 9.5K for it though. I was trying for 9K+ and just couldn't swing it either. Oh well, what is an extra $10 a month?

When I was entertaining offers on My '01 LX sedan a few years ago Carmax offered my 6k for it and it had about as many miles as you do. It's not nearly as nice but is in great condition. $9,800 sounds like a really good offer! Try and see what Carmax would offer you, they are surprisingly reasonable since they're going to try to sell it for like 13k. Give it a try of there is one near you.

Deal fell through :-/ ... My bank just wouldn't budge. Funny, even with $5k in the bank i still cant get a farking $6k loan....dammit

I hate being creditless. I just can't wait until these credit cards I got give me something on my report. Been paying everything off and on time, so that should be good.

Anyways, the car is still on the market. Not as in a hurry to get rid of it. Deals stand above with respect to finder's fees. $500 cash if the buyer can meet asking at $11,500 and $300 cash if the buyer takes it for $10,800+. I want it to go to a good home. This car has been so good to me, so keep your eyes and ears open and lemme know if someone might be interested.
