I am putting my car back to stock and have a trunk release from an 01 accord. It is electric and a direct bolt-on for the 7th gen civics.

I will include pics and instructions on how to install it as well as the relay required to install it.

The trunk release connects to the existing steel cable and works with the manual release as well as the key in the trunk lid. To use the electronic functions you must have an alarm installed with a (-) trigger for accessories. Almost all alarms have this.

I am asking $25 shipped for the release and relay. It goes for around 40-45 at the dealership and I had to purchase the relay at Radioshack as the one Honda includes was defective when I received it. It should take about 10-30 minutes to run the wire to the trunk, and about 5-10 minutes to replace the stock release with the new one and connect everything up.
