F/S - RSX Front Sway Bar - 23 mm x 2.8 mm
F/S - RSX Front Sway Bar - 23 mm x 2.8 mm
Just removed from my '02 RSX with ~ 64K miles on it.
Fine condition, OEM bar. Replaced it with a different size bar - finally...
No endlinks or bushings, as the bushings were shot and the endlinks had to be cut off.
Will fit EM2 Civic, at least, as I installed an EM2 bar in its stead.
The "hoop" portion is more exactly shaped like a hoop on the RSX bar compared to the EM2 bar - don't know if that presents any clearance issues or not for installation on a Civic.

I DO recall, however, that the EM2 bar is frighteningly close to my fuel lines - for some reason, that side of the bar doesn't curve back down as soon as the DC5 bar. I pushed the fuel line bracket as far away as possible.......
I bought the EM2 front bar for less understeer/improved balance. I'm running the EM2 front bar along with a solid 22 mm rear bar, H&R Sport springs and Konis. All season Michelin Exaltos, unfortunately.

Not sure.....sitting here trying to visualize the EM2 bar's shape, but already the memory of the bar's shape is fading.....

And I don't think I can explain it adequately to you myself. If you want a good explanation, try searching for it on clubrsx.com, especially the posts by Zzyzx. Or pick up a copy of Caroll Smith's "Tune to Win".
But in short, most OEM setups are biased towards understeer, so the average joe driver doesn't get into trouble and swing his/her rear end out. Especially with a front-driver, where the tendency in such a situation would be to get off the gas, which would only exacerbate the situation.
And understeer/oversteer balance has a lot to do with the relative stiffness between front and rear, not overall stiffness.
I've reduced my front bar from the 23 mm OEM (hollow, I'm pretty sure) to the 15.9 mm hollow of the EM2, and increased my rear sway from the 19 mm hollow OEM to 22 mm solid (Comptech).
All I can say is, I should have gone with the 25 mm rear Comptech!
I started with the 22 rear. I was afraid I'd be oversteering all the time. That never happened, so I swapped out the front for the smaller EM2 bar. Still have yet to break my rear end loose, but the car is definitely much better balanced, and I can more readily modulate my turning with throttle only.
