FOR SALE: JIC FLT-A2 Coilovers
They were in my car for a year. I re-rated the springs for some more rearward bias. They come with 503 lb-in F/ 559 lb-in R, Front springs were replaced with Hypercoil racing springs ($129/pair) they now have 400 lb-in front/ 559 lb-in rear. Lower front brackets have some coating corrosion, its not rust, its tarnish on the gold plating, makes no big deal other than its looks blackish, you can't see them anyways. Some minor rust dots on the ram sleeve on the front struts. The shock guts are underneath this and it's just the protective sleeve, once again, no operational problems caused, think of it like a dirty dust boot. Black stuff in the threads is graphite from the thread grease I've been using on them, it has no ill effects, infact it helps the threads stay corrosion free. Setup is currently dissassembled for a thorough cleaning, it also answers the threads stuck question, no, they're not. New spring rates are more applicable to an EM/ES application with less weight on the front end. The huge rear bias will cause oversteer with stupid manuvers, so be aware of that. They have been raced on, but thats what they're intended to do and they do it very well.
Dampers are 15 way adjustable
Inverted monotube struts
Adjustable length damper bodies (3rd lock nut)
Preloadable springs
Camber plates (will go to about -2.5 deg)
Pillowball upper mounts on all 4 corners
Spanner wrenches included
Aluminum Spring seats
And the rest of the list (read the JIC website)... I'm assuming anyone who's buying them knows what they're buying.
I pulled them to make way for my tinker project suspension. I didn't have any problems with these other than I wanted something that was a little more customizable on the fly, which konis are vs. sending these back to Japan for rebuilds. Good for autocross, great for track days and they do just fine for daily driving. They're a little on the firm side as far as dampers go, so be ready for a firm ride.
I really don't want to ship these unless I have to, I will, but if someone semi-local wants to buy them, I'm giving them dibs. I'm all over the place this time of year. Indy, South Bend, Fort Wayne, West Lafayette, up around Chicago, South Haven, Mi..... so pickup possibilities from a large area are available. $950 picked up, $1000 shipped, or make me a FAIR offer. Nothing rediculous, I'm just going to ignore it. Given the amount of money involved (another reason I want to do it in person), I'm willing to do it in writing if the buyer so desires. I will also supply basic directions for adjustment and stuff, even though JIC didn't.
Either PM me questions, or e-mail me krausej@purdue.edu

Anyone wants more feedback on me than what I got on this site, look me up on ebay..... happy.gilmore
Thanks,
Justin
Also still have a set of 2000 Si wheels for sale, $425 picked up, $500 shipped, powdercoated Metallic Anthracite. See sig for details.

So could it be said that all shock set ups for an EP3 will work on a EM2/ES1 chassis? Sorry if this is universally known...I did not get the memo...

OK.... so this resurfaced again. You have to PM me if you're interested. I hardly ever check the FS section so I never know when this pops up. If you're interested, PM me I'll tell you whatever you want to know about them.
