are those scratches on the bottom or the top of the pipe? are they viewable and why are they there?

there on the bottom of the pipe, I'm guessing they were rubbing against metal. I never had it in my car, the previous user had it.

I just found this out, originally the injen cai is suppose to be 2 pieces, but the previous cut it into 3 pieces so he could put a bypass valve on it.

Thats a good idea, wish I would've known at first but it'll still fit autos. Theres extra sleeve to make it into 1 again
